Dr. Shamsuddeen Suleiman

Brief Biography

Dr. Shamsuddeen Suleiman, born on January 12, 1987, in Makada, Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, is a distinguished Nigerian statistician and Senior Lecturer at the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, where he also completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Dr. Suleiman has previously served as an academic staff member at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto for leaving for Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State in 2021. Since then, Dr. Suleiman has been actively engaged in teaching and research at the Department of Statistics at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, as a visiting lecturer. Specializing in machine learning, time series, and robust statistics, Dr. Suleiman has a prolific academic and research career with numerous publications in international journals. He has held various academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Statistics Department and Deputy Director of Learner Support Services. His contributions extend beyond academia to community service and consultancy, particularly in statistical data analysis for development plans and public health initiatives.
