Brief Biography

Yakubu, Danlami Haruna was born in Warrah, Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Nigeria in the year 1970. He graduated with both B. Agric. (Agricultural Economics and Extension) (1997) and M. Sc. Agricultural Extension at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) (2012). He obtained his Ph. D at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in the year 2018. Since his employment with the UDUS in the year 2008, he attended many academic conferences and has over fifty (50) publications in both Journals and Conference Proceedings. He became a Senior Lecturer in the year 2020. Yakubu has taught many courses at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels; supervised five M. Sc. and many undergraduate students. He served in many committees in and outside the University making meaningful contributions for community development. He was the Departmental Secretary, Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator and Faculty Board Representative among others. He also served as the Assistant General Secretary of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON). He is currently the Departmental Examinations Officer, General Secretary of the UDUS Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society and the National Treasurer of AESON. Yakubu is married with children.
