Prof. Umar Mohammed Chafe


Brief Biography

Umar M Chafe is a professor of Veterinary Medicine in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,

Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS). He holds a PhD from UDUS (2007). He was Director, Academic Planning, UDUS (2010 – 2014) and the Federal University, Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) (2014 – 2020). At FUBK he was also Dean, Postgraduate School (2021 – Date). He was Director, Veterinary Teaching Hospital (1997 – 2001); Head, Department of Veterinary Medicine, Surgery and Theriogenology (1993 – 1995 & 1998 – 2002 & Head, Department of Veterinary Medicine (1989 – 1993) UDUS.
