Admission Requirements
There are three (3) modes of admission into the Faculty. These are through the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Join Admissions and Matriculation (JAMB), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Matriculation Programme for students of the University catchment areas for the 6-year degree programme and the admission into 5–year degree programme by Direct Entry through JAMB.
(A) UTME Entrance Mode:
(i) Senior Secondary Certificate with passes at credit level in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics; with acceptance passes at UTME.
(ii) A minimum of 5 O’ Level passes in the GCE or its equivalent in the WASC with credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
(B) Direct Entry Mode
(i) Advance Level passes in Biology or Zoology, Botany and Chemistry with credit pass English language, mathematics and Physics at WASC or equivalent in the GCE O’ level.
(ii) A Credit/Merit Pass at Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Health Examination
(iii) A Distinction pass at the OND (Animal Health) provided the candidate meets the minimum University entry requirements.
(iv) Candidates who are admitted by Direct Entry through “A” Level, HND, and Merit/Credit pass will enter at 200 level, while those admitted with Distinction pass at OND will enter at 100 level.
(C) UDU Sokoto Matriculation Programme
Candidates admitted through UDU Sokoto Matriculation Programme are assessed by the University and placed in the Faculty based on the O’ Level and the candidate’s score in the University examination conducted after one year remedial.
