Bachelor of Agriculture in Crop Science
Admission Requirements
To be admitted into the B. Agriculture degree programme, the candidate must have either of the following:
- Joint Matriculation Examination Entry Mode: and Post UME. In addition to an acceptable pass in JME, a candidate must have Senior Secondary School Certificate with credit passes in English language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
WASC/GCE >O= level credit passes in Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English language and any other subject. At least a pass in Physics is also required. The credit pass in Agricultural Science must be backed up by at least a pass in Biology. Candidates with at least a P.7 pass in English who has shown high scholastic aptitude by passing with high grades in the science subjects may be admitted, subject to make-up with qualifying English course offered in the University
- Direct Entry Mode:
To be eligible for direct entry admission, the candidate must have met Matriculation requirements in the relevant subjects plus two HSC/GCE advanced level passes in Chemistry and Biology.
OND holders with at least overall credit certificate and credit passes in Biology or Agricultural Science and Chemistry may be admitted into year one of the degree programme.
NCE and HND holders with at least overall credit certificate and credit passes in Biology or Agricultural Science and Chemistry may be admitted into second and third years respectively.
Programme/Sub-discipline/Discipline Structure to include period of formal studies in the Universities, Industrial training, planned visit and projects
Course content specifications/syllabus of all courses in the Programme/Sub-discipline/Discipline. In addition of the above, candidates shall satisfy the matriculation requirements of the University.
