This University commenced training in Agriculture, with Forestry and Fisheries as an integral part, during 1980/81 session. The agricultural curriculum of the University was unique then, compared to that of the other universities in the country, by incorporating these two components. However, the NUC introduced Approved Minimum Standards for Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Home Economics in 1989.
