Mass Communication
The department of Mass Communication of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto was established in the year 2019. The department commenced its academic activities during 2019/2020 session with thirty students in level one and seven academic staff. The department is focused on producing professional and highly skilled Mass Communicators, journalists and other media practitioners for the overall national growth and development of our nation and beyond.
Our Mission
To produce world class journalist and media professionals that would serve as public trustees, development catalysts and socially responsible to their communities.
Our Vision
The vision of the department is to offer both undergraduate and postgraduate professionally oriented programmes for the aspiring Nigerian/African journalist, development communicators, broadcasters, public relations and advertising practitioners.
