FACULTY OF ENGINEERING IN BRIEF
The Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Design (FEED) obtained National University Commissions’(NUC’s) approval to commence four academic programmes in 2016/2017 academic session; Electrical-Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Resource Management but deferred Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Later, the faculty received another NUC’s approval to commence the ICT degree programme in 2018/2019 academic session.
The Faculty is now operational with the five programmes obtained NUC’s approval and located at a temporary site in the annex building of the Faculty of Science pending the completion of the Faculty’s permanent site.
The Faculty has a renowned scholar as its pioneer Dean in the name of Professor A. S. Sambo, OON. It has also competent academic staff in the various Departments such as Professor S. A. Yelwa, Professor B.G Danshehu, Professor H.N. Yahya, Dr. Muazu Musa, Dr Ibrahim Saidu, Engr. M.T. Bello and a number of other teaching staff as well as laboratory technologies and technicians.
Our Mission
Currently, our mission is to contribute to the betterment of our society through the pursuit of innovative education, active learning and cutting edge technological research in a competitive and sustainable environment and maintain our regional leadership by setting a good example. We also aim to provide opportunities and create an esteemed academic environment for the exchange of diversity of cultures, social, political and ideological knowledge and professional talents among the students as well as the faculty.

Our Vision is to move the Engineering Faculty further ahead as the leading Engineering Faculty and make our graduates the professionals that are highly demanded in the industry for their well-known professional skills, scientific/technological background, international culture and moral values.
