Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry

DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL AND MEDICINAL CHEMISTRY IN BRIEF
The department was established in 2007/2008 session at the same time with the faculty. The department provides training to undergraduate pharmacy students in the area pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry. This encompasses the process of new drug discovery and quality control of medicines. The department has gotten approval from the University Senate to start postgraduate training at MSc, MPhil and PhD levels. The postgraduate training is scheduled to commence in the 2020/2021 Academic session.
