Brief Biography

Dr. Abubakar Ngaski ABDULLAHI holds PhD in Agricultural Economics and had over twenty years of teaching and Research Experience. He is currently Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics with the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. He has special research interest in development economics issues like Food Security, Poverty and Intervention Impact, Sustainable Agriculture and Value Chain Development among others. He has supervised both Undergraduate and Postgraduate projects, Thesis and Dissertations as well as served as external examiner to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA) and Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnics, Sokoto.

Dr. Abdullahi had been a Consultant for the various projects of World Bank, International Funds for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United Nation-World Food Programme. He was variously involved in baseline and Impact Evaluation Studies for Fadama III Project, IFAD-CBARDP, Social and Community Development Project as well as participated in the Monitoring and Evaluation Mission for West Africa Agricultural Productivity Programme WAAPP Nigeria. He is a member of Farm Management Association of Nigeria (FMAN) and National Association of Agricultural Economics (NAEE)
