Prof. A. S. Muhamad


Brief Biography

Born on 1967 at Alieru Town. Started primary school at Waje Primary School, Yauri in 1973 and finished at Marafa Primary School, Gwandu in 1979.
I proceeded to Haliru Abdu Teacher’s College same year. In 1981, I was transferred to Government Science Secondary School Birnin Kebbi, now, Nagari College Birnin Kebbi from where I obtained WAEC Certificate in 1984.
I was given admission by Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto to read Matriculation Science in 1990/91 Session which upon successful completion, I was allocated to Faculty of Agriculture to read B. Agriculture, which I graduated with a Second Class (lower) in 1997.
I was given a tenure appointment by the Usmanu Danfodiyo in the Department of Crop Science in 1998. I obtained MSc and PhD in Plant Pathology from University of Maiduguri in 2003 and 2012 respectively.
I rose from an Assistant Lecturer in 1998 to Professor 2022.
I’m happily married with 10 children
