Dr. I. M. Magami
Brief Biography
Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Magami has been employed as an academic staff member at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria since 2006, initially serving as a Graduate Assistant. Over the years, he has ascended through various academic ranks and currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Hydrobiology, a position he attained in 2021. Dr. Ibrahim has undertaken numerous administrative roles both within the institution and beyond. Notably, he served as the Departmental Examination Officer from 2012 to 2019, and subsequently as the Faculty Examination Officer from 2019 to 2022. Presently, he holds the esteemed position of Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Life Sciences, concurrently serving as the Assistant Secretary General for the Freshwater Biological Association of Nigeria. Dr. Ibrahim's research interests span a wide array of subjects including waste management, water quality, sanitation, fisheries, and other environmental issues. He has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences and workshops, enriching his academic pursuits and contributing to the scholarly community. Dr Ibrahim so far supervised over 50 undergraduate students, 16 MSc. Students and 1 PhD student. His scholarly endeavors are evidenced by the publication of 45 articles in reputable national and international journals, showcasing his dedication to advancing knowledge and understanding in his field.Area of specialization: | Hydrobiology |
