Prof. Ibrahim Abdullahi


Brief Biography


Prof. Ibrahim Abdullahi was born in Sokoto State of Nigeria and had his early education in Sokoto State and subsequent higher education in both Sokoto and Plateau States of Nigeria. He had his LL. B (Common and Islamic Law) from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto where he graduated with a Second Class Upper Division, B.L (Barrister at Law) from the Nigerian Law School Bwari, Abuja, LL. M (Master of Laws) from the University of Jos and Ph.D in Law from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto where he is currently a Professor of Law in the Department of Private and Business Law with specialty in International Humanitarian Law and Jurisprudence.

He is the Head of Department of Private and Business Law and has over 40 articles published in reputable national and international journals and has written and edited 17 (Seventeen) books to his credit published by reputable publishers in Nigeria. He is the Editor in Chief of UDUS Law Journal as well as Caliphate Bar Journal which is the maiden edition of the journal in the history of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Sokoto Branch. He is a recipient of several academic awards as well as other awards of excellence both within and outside Sokoto State.

He is a fellow, Resource and Human and Development which earned him the right to use the appellation ‘FRHD’, Fellow, Institute of Management consultants which earned him the right to use the appellation ‘FIMC’ and a Certified Management Consultant which earned him the right to use the appellation ‘CMC’. He is a member of several professional bodies and happily married with children. His hobbies include reading and writing and detests all forms of corruption.
