Prof. S.O. Rabiu

Brief Biography

My Name is Sulaiman Olayiwola Rabiu born on the 15th July, 1955 at Igboho Oyo State Orelope Local Government Area with Family of Rabiu Adeshola. I attended S.S. Arabic School Ibadan from 1966 to 1970, and also Attended Junior Secondary School Medinah Saudi Arabia from 1970 to 1974 and Senior Secondary School Medinah Saudi Arabia from 1974 to 1977 and Proceeded to Islamic University Medinah Saudi Arabia where I obtained my First Degree in LL.B (Hons) Islamic Law from 1977 to 1981. And also obtained my second degree LL.M (Shariah and Law) International University, Islamabad Park, Pakistan from 1989 to 1992, I also Obtained Ph.D (Islamic Law) Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto in 2005. I joined the Department of Islamic law of the Faculty of Law University of Sokoto then, as Graduate Assistant rosed to the rank of Professor of Islamic Law, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. I thought almost causes of Islamic Law in the Department. I thought many Students, and Supervised many Students at Master Level as well as Ph.D level, beside Undergraduate level. I was Deputy Dean of the Faculty from 1986 to 1988, Ag. Dean of Law from 1994 to 1996, Ag. Head of Department of Islamic Law from 1994 to 1998, Ag. Head of Department of Islamic Law from 2006 to 2007, Postgraduate Co-coordinator, Faculty of Law from 2006 to 2007, Ag. Head of Department of Islamic Law Kogi State University Anyingba from 2007 to 2009, Postgraduate Co-coordinator, K.S.U Anyigba from 2008 to 2009, Ag. Head of Department of Islamic Law Al-Hikimat University, Ilorin from 2016 to 2018 and Co-coordinator of Postgraduate Programme. I wrote two Books one in Arabic Language and the second in English Language, and have more than seventeen Publications both National and International.
